Biography

A first-generation college graduate, Dr Forrest received his BA degree in English at Clemson University as the last graduating class of the second millennium, in December of 2000. After dabbling briefly in a DC law firm, he studied American literature, poetics, art history, media studies, and ecocriticism at the University of California at Davis, earning the PhD in English in 2008. He has published a number of articles on modern and contemporary poetry and is working on a book project on the relationship between noise and form in art, music, and poetry. Dr Forrest has taught at Coppin State since 2010.
